Flextech’s silicone lined hose assemblies are designed to meet the stringent purity, flexibility and reliability specifications depended upon by medical and pharmaceutical industries around the world. Manufactured to the highest standards including USP VI, EU Pharmacopoeia and FDA 21.FFR.177.2600 these silicone lined hoses are more than adequate for production and research in diverse sectors like biotechnology, life sciences, food and beverages.
About our silicone hose assemblies
The silicone liner provides a durable yet lightweight contact with air or liquid, with a range of reinforcement options for high pressure, anti-kinking or extra flexibility requirements. Select from close pitch steel wire or opt for the open mesh polyester braid layers found in our Pharmaceutical silicone lined hoses. The high level of reinforcement makes the silicone hoses resistant to temperature extremes, radiation, chemical attack, viral spores and gases including ozone.
To maintain the highest standards both the cover and liner of these hoses are manufactured using platinum cured silicone products in a dedicated facility. This ensures there is nil cross contamination and the highest levels of purity. This results in a tasteless, odourless hose which will not impair the content of the hoses degradation over time such as yellowing will not occur.
What is a Silicone hose?
A silicone hose assembly from Flextech is made from high purity platinum cured silicone rubber, and has hygienic end connectors attached. Our range of silicone hose assemblies are made to meet the stringent temperature, pressure and vacuum service requirements found in cosmetics, bio-tech, life-sciences, pharmaceutical, medical, foodstuffs, beverages and dairy product applications amongst others.
Platinum cured silicone rubber offers unique properties which include high purity, hight transparency with no yellowing, high temperature resistance (from minus 60°C/76°F up to 200°C, 392°F), high working pressure rating (up to 20 bar) and a hygienic and easy clean surface.

Hose Types
Pharmaflex®
Pharmaflex® medical and pharmaceutical grade silicone hoses are ideally suited for suction and delivery applications within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and life sciences industries such as feeding pumps, drug dispensing equipment, diagnostic equipment and processing equipment.
The construction of these hoses allows them to work efficiently and effectively on applications at working pressures and temperatures other hoses would not be able to operate within, with resistance to temperatures from -60°C to +200°C and pressures up to 16 bar. These pharmaceutical hoses can be reinforced with steel coils or polyester braids in multiple layers to provide flexibility, versatility and value.
PharmaSil™
Pharmasil™ hoses feature smoothbore extruded liners, smooth covers and a high purity (USP VI) platinum cure. This makes them ideally suited for a variety of low pressure applications as they can resist temperature extremes, radiation, compression sets, weathering, chemical attack, corona and ozone as well as being odourless and tasteless. With internal diameters of 1/4″ to 1″ and a range of colour options and end fittings, these hoses can be manufactured to your exact requirements.
These hoses are produced in one of the most versatile and flexible FED STD 209E Class 10,000 Clean Room manufacturing facility in Europe, using procedures controlled by ISO9001:2008 standards. Clean Room conditions are continually monitored to ensure a Class 7 standard is maintained. The production facility used only produces Platinum Cured Silicone products ensuring there is NIL cross contamination. Pharmaflex Silicone Tubing is packaged individually in double wrapped heat sealed polybags and then placed in a clean, white box ready for despatch.

End Connections
These silicone hoses can be fitted with your choice of stainless steel end connections or fittings which are also fully hygienic and permanently swaged to reduce chances of failure. From commercial brewing couplings including Tri-clamp and RJT connectors to standard BSP and BSPT seals, our couplings are fitted to 316L standard and made to last.
